AOH – Africa Our Home is an organization dedicated to providing immersive cultural, educational, and service-learning experiences in West Africa, primarily in Ghana, Togo, and Benin.
We offer customized group programs, educational exchanges, cultural immersion experiences, internships, and community engagement projects. Programs are tailored to university groups, professionals, and individuals seeking meaningful engagement in Africa.

Participants should consult with their healthcare provider about necessary vaccinations and medications. Common recommendations include vaccinations for Yellow Fever, Hepatitis A & B, Typhoid, and Malaria prophylaxis.
AOH provides 24/7 in-country emergency support. We have partnerships with local health facilities and can assist with accessing medical care if needed. Participants must have international health insurance covering emergency medical treatment and evacuation.
Safety is our top priority. We provide pre-departure safety guidelines, on-site orientations, and experienced local coordinators. We also monitor local conditions and adjust plans as necessary to ensure a safe experience.
U.S. participants must have a passport valid for at least six months beyond their travel dates. A visa is required for Ghana, Togo, and Benin. AOH provides visa support and guidance.
Yes, all participants must have travel insurance covering trip cancellations, medical emergencies, and evacuation. We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive coverage.
Participants are responsible for booking their international flights. AOH can provide guidance on recommended routes and arrival times. Airport pickup and drop-off are included in our program fees.
Participants stay in group accommodations, hotels, or homestays, depending on the program. Rooms are shared, and facilities vary by location.
Most programs include breakfast and dinner daily. Special dietary needs can be accommodated with advance notice. Participants cover their own meals during excursions.

The fee includes accommodation, meals (as specified), program activities, airport transfers, excursions, local transport, visa support, and emergency assistance. It does not cover airfare, personal expenses, or visa fees.
Refunds depend on the timing of cancellation. Generally, deposits are non-refundable, and partial refunds may be available if cancellation occurs before final payment deadlines. No refunds are provided after the program begins.
All program materials, including itineraries, proposals, community partnerships, and research conducted by AOH staff, are the intellectual property of AOH – Africa Our Home. They may not be copied, shared, or used for other programs without explicit written permission.
No. AOH retains exclusive rights to its program structures, itineraries, and community access. Any modifications or replications require formal agreements with AOH.
