Our mission is to connect passionate individuals with local communities in Ghana, Togo, and Benin, fostering sustainable development while offering participants an immersive and impactful experience.
AOH – Africa Our Home exists to reconnect people of African descent and global citizens with Africa through meaningful cultural exchange, education, and immersive experiences.
We design ethical, people-centered programs that foster mutual learning, historical awareness, and human connection—rooted in respect for local communities and guided by African voices.
Our mission is to inspire understanding, pride, and responsibility, while empowering individuals to engage with Africa not as visitors, but as partners in a shared future.
Through AOH Global Programs, participants contribute to critical areas such as education, healthcare, environmental sustainability, and entrepreneurship. Whether through customized group experiences (2 weeks to 1 month) or individual internships (2 weeks to 6 months), we ensure that every participant’s skills and interests align with real community needs.
We don’t just facilitate experiences—we actively support the communities we serve. One example is our donation of an HP Laser Printer to the Keta Health Directorate, enhancing administrative efficiency and patient care in the region. These tangible contributions, combined with the work of our participants, create lasting change and strengthen local institutions.
Beyond professional placements, AOH offers expertly guided cultural and historical tours, allowing participants to explore UNESCO World Heritage Sites, vibrant cultural villages, and stunning landscapes. This holistic approach ensures that participants gain deep cultural insights, develop new skills, and build lifelong connections while making a real difference.
